Richard Carlson

A native New Jersey resident from Westfield, now a full-time resident in Manasquan on the Jersey Shore, Rich is a life long musician. He has been playing bars, clubs, weddings and corporate events for over 30 years. A versatile performer, Rich has covered oldies, word rock, classic rock and has record two albums of a diverse nature: original music for children and Heavy Metal. Rich also plays trombone, having fell in love with jazz and funk in the 5th grade and he remains a life-long lover and learner of music both as a performer and an audiophile. In addition to The Main Event Big Band, Rich leads his own Classic Rock band, “The Groove Sharks”, and plays annually with Tim McLoone’s Holiday Express, a musically based charity based in Asbury Park, New Jersey.
